John Betts Double Bass

We are proud to offer this stunning double bass made by John Betts in London around 1820. It clearly shows the hand of John Frederick Lott I and Bernhard Simon Fendt I. The instrument is in excellent original condition, with the varnish and scroll being particular highlights. The size is slightly smaller than usual making it a joy to play with a rich and plentiful sound. We’ve seen few like this.
