This beautiful Cremonese double bass was made by Pierre Luigi Galetti in 1987. Pierre Luigi was an instructor at the famous International School of Violin Making in Cremona, Italy, and as one might expect the quality of his work is excellent. For his double bass model, the influence of Stradivari in the soundholes and the beautifully carved head is clearly evident. This is a well-sized double bass for solo playing and chamber music, with its excellent focused sound and surprising volume making it desirable for any player.
