Cremonese Double Bass

This double bass was made in Cremona around the middle of the Eighteenth Century. The very high quality of making and beautiful glow to the varnish suggests that it was made by a very highly skilled master violin maker. It also features a very well cut scroll made from walnut. We have re-done the neck and given the instrument a full set up in our workshop, and it really plays like a dream.
