Gasparo daSalo ca 1585

This magnificent classic is in excellent condition for it’s age and is a joy to play and look at.

It has a robust sound of high quality from the bottom to the top. Response is excellent. Volume is no problem!

The proportions are generous but it is easily playable. Dendrochronology put the oldest grain in the three piece front at 1391!

They don’t come much better than this and Instruments by the “King of Basses” are very rare indeed. .
